The CX500 is an incredibly easy motorcycle to steal, as are most, due to one particular issue: in order for the key to be used, the key cylinder has to be accessible. If the key cylinder is accessible, it can be easily broken off and the wires accessed, jumped, and the ignition bypassed entirely.
I found the two wires responsible for turning power on and off to the bike and hooked them up to an RF wireless relay like so
This means I can hide all of the ignition wiring and the receiver under the frame spine of the bike where it would require significant disassembly to be accessed. Not perfect, but a deterrent and REALLY DAMN COOL.
Now I need to figure out this nastiness.
Bonus pic of handlebars.

That is really cool. When I went about rewiring and customizing my XJ750 I just ended up putting a switch, and a starter button under the tank, no keys necessary . So if they know where the switch is, anyone can take my bike, until they run out of gas at least because a key is needed for the gas cap.
